Single-flowered Lisianthus blooms are cup-shaped (or tuliplike), and triple-flowered varieties resemble garden roses. The 2 inch diameter blooms occur at the ends of thin branched stems with gray-green leaves.

Lisianthuses are geotropic (affected by the force of gravity), and their stems will curve upward if stored at an angle (diagonally) or horizontally.
